Plastic Bathroom Swaps Gone Viral
When we were brainstorming a video project for Pela, one of the ideas we had was a simple swap concept just like this one. We opted for something different but it makes us so happy to see content like this (visual, easy to understand and not intimidating) start to go viral.
Imagine if we all made just a few plastic-free swaps in each of our living spaces...what difference would that make as a whole?
Little elephant at play
I know this isn't really a headline or a story but come on. I dare you to watch this and NOT smile!
The Magic of Sewing
I can't get over all the befores and afters that this talented mom has created from second-hand thrift store finds! Sarah from
ourlifeisbeautiful.com shops for second hand pieces that she can refashion or upcycle into awesome new designs for her family.
I'm so inspired by her amazing "new" threads that I might just have to wipe the dust off my sewing machine...oh and learn how to use it too! See all transformations at

This Invention Saves Little Lives
When I saw this story on Facebook, I almost scrolled right past it but I stopped because...well to be honest, I thought it was going to be a funny and ridiculous frog video. (If you can't already tell, I am a sucker for all animal videos!)
Instead I was really inspired by this invention by wildlife biologist, Rich Mason. He wanted to help save tiny critters from drowning in backyard pools after a neighbour had found over 50 dead frogs in her pool :( While some people might dismiss issues like dead critters as a nuisance,
FrogLog used experimentation and innovation to help rescue these creatures with a simple tool. Sometimes we forget how every form of life is important to our ecosystem. We're grateful for people like Rich.
The Word About Pela Is Spreading
We recently reached out to Zinc to see if they'd help us get the word out about our plastic alternative phone cases to their audience (over 500,000 of eco-conscious followers) and thankfully they really loved what we were doing and wanted to help!
Check out this video they made about Pela and help us by liking and sharing—every little bit helps and we truly appreciate all your support :)
